Cubs On The Way In Norwalk, CT!

With twins on the way, Viorica is an expecting momma that is truly blessed with a group of friends worthy of envy! Thanks to a best friend with skills comparable to Martha Stewart herself, Viorica celebrated the impending arrival of her new "cubs" in her home in Norwalk, Connecticut, surrounded by love, laughs, and perfectly coordinated decor details.

With her parents living in Romania, they unfortunately were unable to attend the pastel-perfect affair, so we made sure to capture the day as each moment unfolded creating a photographic story for them to experience over seas. From the food, to the decor, and all the card-reading and gift-opening in between, it was a pleasure to attend such a joyous celebration and meet so many lovely individuals.

Baby socks? My favorite.

The party was frosted with little Romanian touches paying homage to Viorica's heritage and allowing her to indulge in some of her favorite childhood comforts, like Cozonac sweet bread with sour cherry jam. I will tell you from first hand experience, it was absolutely delish.

As gifts were delivered to Viorica and her husband's home throughout the week before, her husband, Amit, made sure to wrap each gift as they arrived to keep the element of surprise for his wife. His wrapping became quite creative, mixing different papers on packages, bringing laughs to all the guests!

Viorica's twins are so very lucky to be coming into a world with such loving parents and friends to care for them.

Laura and Brian's September Wedding at The Mill on The River in South Windsor, CT

Shooting weddings are long days... but they're long days I enjoy every step of the way. I get to have a VIP pass into peoples lives whom otherwise I wouldn't be less than an arms length away from. I get the chance to witness one of the finest days of a person's life, and I am handed the opportunity to participate in all the love, joy, excitement, and purity of emotion that surrounds these days. I slip into the shadows and, with my camera lens, witness all the genuine laughs and moments of companionship shared between the closest of family and friends.
I never had a sister, but it was something I often daydreamed about. My mother has two sisters herself, and growing up I always admired how they bonded. You constantly have a best friend in a sister... a shopping buddy, a boyfriend (or in this case, fiance) critique expert, a problem solver, and a source of unwavering love. In these daydreams I always imagined that my hypothetical sisters would be a little like Laura and her sisters. What a pleasure it was to observe these three girls help each other as they got ready, and support Laura as the rest of the day unfolded. From custom tags identifying the "something blue," to celebratory mimosas, and matching pink robes, these three sisters made me daydream once again about the sibling bond I wish I always had... and from behind my lens I was able to feel, just a little bit, what that awesomely powerful bond is like.

Brian and Laura wed on September 14th at The Mill on The River in South Windsor, CT, during an intimate outdoor ceremony.

Laura embroidered a special little love note into Brian's tie which he showed me as he reviewed his handwritten vows and waited for Laura to arrive.

Do you see what I mean about the awesome quality of Laura and her sister's bond? This photo series brings a smile to my face every time I look at it!

I have told Laura this maybe one, two... ten times... but her dress was my favorite of the season!

After a energetic night full of dancing guests, lots of big laughs and good food, Brian and Laura closed their wedding night with a sparkler sendoff.

It was a great party. I should know, I was there!

Congratulations Brian and Laura! You throw a great wedding!
