Calf Pasture Beach, Norwalk, CT- Loreta and William's Morning Engagement

I returned from my (amazingly beautiful) vacation in Turks and Caicos on Saturday evening and immediately jumped into editing! The morning before I had left for vacation, I had a morning engagement session with Loreta and William at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT. The morning sun was beautiful.

 

Loreta is an amazing florist who designed all the floral arrangements for the styled wedding shoot I did a month or so ago, so I've gotten to know her pretty well. She's such an amazingly sweet lady, and I truly enjoyed getting to know her William during their engagement session.

 

They met at the beach, and their hoping to marry at the beach... so of course we had to do their engagement session at the beach!

 

William has such a killer smile.

I had a lovely with Loreta and William and hearing all about their personal story...and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding on June 7th!

Granby, CT Engagement Session with Brian and Laura

Last Friday I had an awesome engagement session with an awesome couple, and I am so excited to share their photos with you. I'm really loving their warmth, spontaneity, and playfulness and how it came through in the images. Best thing of all? They loved their photos, too!

 

We returned to the very spot where Brian had proposed to Laura exactly one year earlier... kudos to you, Brian, for pulling that adorably romantic scheduling out of nowhere!

 

I tell all my couples right before we begin shooting that they are going to feel super awkward for the first twenty minutes, but that before they know it they will completely forget the camera is there and start pulling out professional modeling ninja tactics all on their own... this is right around where Laura turned turned into an exceptional model. She will have to go down in the books as one of the greats... I mean, check that smile out! Not a single "1...2...3...cheese!" quality to it! Loving it.

 

Had another fabulous engagement session with a bride who is getting married next month this morning at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT. You will have to wait a little longer to sneak peek that session, though, because I'm hopping a plane early tomorrow morning for Turks and Caicos with my love!

Until I return from my vacation, enjoy Brian and Laura's engagement session... I definitely did!

Connecticut Wedding Photographers Networking (is FUN!) - Heirloom, New Haven, CT

This morning I had an awesome opportunity to meet with three other Connecticut Wedding Photographers for brunch at a restaurant called Heirloom in New Haven, CT. They specialize in all locally harvested foods... it's pretty delish.

Big shout out to Jessica for having the idea to snap a photo this morning!

As you may or may not know, I have a bit of a love affair with food... so really anything that includes something yummy is a-okay in my book. This morning was doubly awesome, though, because not only did I have an absolutely delicious lunch, but the girls I met with were fantastic! I sort of dragged myself out the door this morning hesitant to meet everyone... I was a nervous personalities would clash, or it would be too awkward of a situation to really be productive. It turns out, my fears were completely off point! We got along famously, and I left feeling inspired, hopeful, and supported. I cannot wait to continue a relationship with these girls and grow as a photographer and a business woman.

I cannot thank Jasmine Star and the ReSTARt group from creativeLIVE enough for giving me the opportunity to meet such wonderful minds, and wonderful photographers, like Jessica Smith, Michelle Girard, and Robyn Blasi.
